Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Well that's it for the ICE, finally

Musk said that Tesla doesn’t yet have a name for the $25,000 car, which would arrive in 2023 and finally be able to meet or beat equivalent internal-combustion vehicles on initial purchase price.

When is Chevron going to sell its entire gas station business? 2025 perhaps or merge with someone's

@2bqx-
You call people id–ts but you do not seem to understand how markets work. You point to oil futures going negative months ago but ignore the fact that the price eventually stabilized. Supply and demand often come out of balance in a commodity market in the short term. Thats what happened during this unprecedented period. But over the long-term, supply and demand always rebalance.

What the id–t who made the comment about there still be "many combustible engine cars on the road too" doesn't understand is it does not take much of a drop off in gasoline demand to really affect the price. Look What just happened in the spring. The futures prices went negative. and the price at the pump cratered. It doesn't take much of demand fall off to do this. and it's only going to get worse. Add to this, the likelihood that telecommuting is going to become more prevalent. GAsolene demand is simply going to drop away as all these factors take their toll on this industry. Personally I can't wait fort it to happen more and more. Imagine living is a world with less toxins, less pollution about time. Oh an the argument where is the electricity going to come from. That is solved , again you are thinking like Trump one dimensionally as usual

@hyz, ah you laugh now, you will be surprised once there are sufficient $25K electric available for purchase. All those Camry's will be toast, as we switch over from bring hydrocarbons to solar. The cost per mile of running electric is about 1/3 the cost of running an ICE. Not to mention an electric motor will run almost million miles . The advantage is not even close. Why don't you simply crawl back in your 20th century hole where you came from. I foresee future where we will look back at these gas guzzling trucks doing 16 to the gallon as quaint as people using a horse and cart. MW has about as much vision as ten ton truck. Not that he needs any visionary powers at all it, he will be gone in 5 years.

I can hardly wait for the fun California will be in after PG&E closes down their Diablo Canyon Nuke in 2024-2025.

“Hi boss, I can’t drive to work today because PG&E blackout in my area last night means I don’t have enough power to get to San Ramon.”

The name of the $25,000 Tesla is the Unicorn. If it is ever available.

Even if there are more electric cars on the market in 2025, their will still be many combustible engine cars on the road too. (If not more than electric).

This just isn’t going away soon...
