Noble employees received corporate communication requesting all salaried, exempt employees fill out a Chevron talent profile. Sounds suspicious...especially since the hourly nonexempt are not being asked to do the same thing. Makes me wonder if the salaried Noble employees are going to be the first to get cut. And nonexempt employees are just assumed to have no talent?

GTMIS IS useless. The information requested is diffuse and vague. We should have disposed of it a long time ago.
Why fill out extra forms. WTF was GTMIS invented for? We’ve been using this damn electronic form for a long time in our hiring and promotion practices around the world. Now, all of a sudden someone wants a short form? If so, just let GTMIS produce a short form. Christ! Can anything be done correctly to serve all Masters? Another example of @ss backward management and HR at their finest.
Just be happy you only have to fill out one form. We have several and guess what. Every Tom, D–k and Harry wants you to format it different. Just put your best self forward and walk away. Try not to stress about. Our company is doing a sadistic layoff where all jobs are open but not really open. So you waste your time calling job owners. At least on the job market people are looking to fill jobs they post. Good luck.
We are Chevron. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.
Yes agree with 1wab, Chevron is not represented well by our ”representatives” in this forum. We are in the middle of a major down sizing so everyone is short. We have been through three “round”, with number three being middle management and Sr tech and if was very said seeing some excellent folks left unemployed. My advice to you guy is focus on the skills you have that Chevron does not, particularly asset specific knowledge Chevron needs to keep Nobles operations running effectively. Good luck!
Dear Noble folks:
There is a lot of snarkiness on this board at times, and I am sorry if this is your first introduction to Chevron employees. We are not all this obnoxious, I promise.
BTW, I hope my comments don’t come across as preachy. :) These are tough times in our industry and in the world in general. I imagine that the transition to Chevron must be particularly stressful and unsettling for you guys, not knowing what will happen to your jobs. We’re in the middle of significant layoffs ourselves at Chevron, and it is demoralizing, for sure.
Try to focus on what is within your control and steady yourselves for what will likely be a bumpy ride. Whatever happens, let’s remember that life goes on. Sometimes a little bit of positivity helps.
Good luck to all — yes, even the snarky folks, because I think a lot of the nasty comments are actually bravado to mask the fear and anxiety that we are all feeling. Well, all except JG and other execs. They’re sitting pretty. #OopsIGotSnarkyMyself!!!
You can call us Chevoble. :)
Talent profile?
Is that on a stage or boat-dock? Nudity allowed?
Ya'll gonna be called 'Chevron Noble'?
Sad comment on Corporate Socialism.
Gone burlesque.
Good luck, exempt former Nobleites. Welcome to the jungle!
Non-exempt hourly employees are typically lesser wage earners compared to exempt salaried employees. Furthermore, there’s no management career ladder for the non-exempt hourly employee. So, it stands to reason why Chevron doesn’t waste its time on non-exempts filling out talent profile forms. Chevron is only looking to compare the talents of the Noble employees to that which they have on file for their own employees. Don’t like it, then surrender your badge, resign and allow me to show you the door. Remember, it’s the “acquired” who needs to conform to the purchaser, not the other way around. That’s your rude awakening lesson for today. Come back tomorrow for another if you like.
Look there is gonna be no more Noble or Noble ways. You will be assimilated this is the beginning. Chevron has their way and that’s that. Take it or leave it.
#Mla: no such thing at Noble. Maybe you should get over YOUR superior self.
If you have the talent to non stop BS, Agile in Digital and Transformathional to make everyone puke, you are a winner in Chevron.
OP please get over yourself. Ever hear of different processes for different employee types?
