Old sick time

Anyone else notice their old sick time that was built up, they are taking time away from us......thought had to use ALL protected PTO & PTO first. Then we couldn’t use for us, had to be for a family member?????

The real question is: when they add your legacy time into your regular pto, do you stop earning regular pto because you reach your maximum hours early for the year? Last year I reached my max one month and a half before the fiscal year ended, therefore did not earn pto during that time.

OLD SICK TIME AND PERSONAL TIME

I had 192 hours in sick time and 32 hours in personal time, that I lost. I retired 5 1/2 months ago, I was told that I lose that time and there was nothing that I could do about it. The company just stole 4,000.00 from me.

It’s not just the ones that have been there forever. I had 23 hours legacy sick time and they put 16 hours into my pto. I’ve enemies there 5 1/2 years

They should just move the entire 192hrs that's been locked away for years into our pto/ppto.

Those hours were earned. It was BS when they announce what they were doing when they rolled out pto/ppto.

Though it's also my fault that I didn't do what the other associates did which was to take 4 weeks off before the new system was in place.

I've been with the company 12.5 years. I had 192 hours, they did take 16 of those hours and put them in with my pto. I'm very thankful .

This is not true (It was only done for associates with 20+ years) because other associates received it that has been there as many years as others, over 10 years

Just out of curiosity, did any of you have a meeting where this was discussed? I did not hear anything about from my management.

It would be nice to be informed. Notice they did this just in time for the Oct 1 attendance policy goes back into affect. Give a little at a time so no one can cash out a lot after first of the year!

Please please continue to put our old sick time into new pto. We all deserve our time. Some of us didn't work the system through covid.
Thank you!!

This is the first time seeing this about the legacy sick time. It looks like they are using it as pto. My balance has gone down. This is great news if they continue to do this. Come on vaca!!

they took 16 hours from legacy sick time....at least I can cash in on about 7% of all the time I've accrued.....better than nothing I guess....

I am pretty sure that they changed this policy recently due to the Covid epidemic. You are able to use your sick time on yourself after you completely use all your PTO. I recently went on a medical LOA and I was able to use my sick time after all my PTO was used.

They're taking it from your old sick time and adding it to your regular PTO
