Do we do any tracking of employees via the IT system that would surprise employees if we knew about it?

Yes, IT scans your emails, what websites you go to, and your phone gps is tracked. Reports are generated on where you go (bars, strip clubs, etc), and what time you get to work and what time you leave. Reports are generated and if you are out of the ordinary, you are f$*ked. If you turn gps or phone off, you are flagged immediately. Bye bye
You should assume that emails with attachments are monitored. I was in a group a couple of years ago where everyone got warned because someone was mailing source files to their personal computer to "work on them at home".
We use facial recognition software at the campus to capture how much time you spend in the bathroom.
I have heard anecdotally that if you email yourself at home proprietary information as attachments etc, you will get caught. Specially if you are in your last month, or your last week :) No need to have an irregularity that could suspend your pension.
@1rin+179QUVwF any issue with reading the forum on company assets? These are actively referred to on the various WSJ/Reuters etc. articles that are published. I don't believe it's bad. That being said, if you're making comments on the forum using your laptop, you're kinda dumb.

a few Supervisors might become obsessed on the individual - looking for the green/yellow/red on Skype or Zoom/Agile team responsiveness.
But most of these overseers are too lazy - unless you're a personal obsession.
So it's tracked instead automatically by the very tool (meaning automation) itself.
Then just review the weekly or monthly report for these tools.

Yes lol, your phones, laptops, emails, any peripheral electronics, we keep an eye on it all. Its funny seeing how many of our employees access this thelayoff.com on company assets. Do you guys want to get fired? Personal names do get reported up, but rarely any action occurs.
