Got the call at noon. Was offered my current job, verbally accepted. A PRF with the offer was emailed with instructions and a SharePoint link which allowed me to confirm. It's nice to survive! Good luck to everyone.

I think the point mr sour grapes was trying to make was a commentary on Chevron’s selections process and how its employees deserve better. That is just how i interpreted it.
I don’t know you, but your post seems more like sour grapes than anything.
While we all want our first choice we all had to apply to 4 jobs. Not everyone is going to get their first choice or there 4th choice for that matter.
We all can’t come straight out of college and land our Dream job immediately. Maybe you can, but the rest of us are not Superman like you. We have to gain experience and work up to it.

A friend of mine heard but at a different location than me. And I’ve heardHR emails went out that weren’t supposed to and that may why some ppl are finding out early. So I wait but still thinking it may be tomorrow like it was supposed to be.

Second choice person, do you realize how pathetic you sound? That's like saying the person you really wanted to marry turned you down so you brag that your second choice picked you. This company's whole effed up process is a terrible way to do business and we as employees have been reduced to taking what we can get. Is that what you envisioned for yourself with you got your degree (if you got one at all)? "I want to have a mediocre career in a dead end job at a mediocre company and take whatever they give me no matter if it's based on merit or not" I swear, the way we carry on here is no different than pr-stitutes when you really think about it. "The money is good and so what if I hate myself and my job every day. Wonder how the boss will treat me today." All of corporate america is pretty much like this but what a–hole company would do this musical chairs cr-p year after year where its employees on a good day will celebrate the fact that they didn't get what they really wanted.
