“We understand that each of you likely has questions and wants some level of certainty about your future role. While we don’t have all the answers right now, we can share that after this week, no additional company-wide reductions will be executed in 2020.”

They said the same thing last year after layoffs, so then it meant no more layoffs in 2019....

Two years in a row massive layoffs heading into holiday season after promises of being solid financially and committed to their employees. All after constantly telling us no layoffs are coming. Schwab is creating a culture of fear. Nobody is happy and all of us stressed out due to workload

We're under staffed yet we continue to layoff. Makes sense

I work at schwab in technology. Looks like we could be restructuring our org in service desk and field services. Not sure what that means yet

Per our CIO, STS re-organization is done for 2020. Of course this year is almost over, and I am sure there will be more to come in 2021.

Personal guess - bloodbath for the branches, they will hold off on any IS cuts until after tax season is complete.

Many different ways to interpret that last part. It’s only Monday. What’s the rest of the week going to look like? What about 2021?

Ok finally got some clarification on this. It's Branch Network that is being hit today.

I'm in STS and have not heard of any layoffs. Which Ops are you all referring to?

@dck+17CEyOPl Frankly I'm certain TDA leadership has no idea what the hell is going on.

That’s how the last layoff went last year.

Things are looking bad for TD folks. No communication from leadership on who’s still here and who’s not. Chaos & confusion.

Yeah also TD corporate roles - managing directors in tech, strategy and marketing that I know of so far. Also some HR recruiters.

Yep, about 600, mostly TD branches affected, going from about 200 TD branches down to 50
