Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

For those receiving calls, what is your PSG?

Wondering if they are starting at the higher end of the 19-24 spectrum before working down

At this point, if you haven’t heard then you have 50% chance of landing a position. Every one of the successful notifications reduced the available jobs for you to win the lottery. If you are joining a large team, the manager may not have gotten to your “congrats” call. But these conversations take less than 20 minutes, so even the slowest talker can crank out 20 calls in a day.
If you have a short, private meeting on your calendar then you are left standing. Sorry @cfp.

One last thing. I hope everyone remembers how we got into this situation. It wasn’t a bunch of minions building grassroots empires and overstaffing themselves. It wasn’t the boots on the ground chasing barrels and wasting money. Look at every scorecard; they’ve all been green as can be. Business units have been achieving the targets set by the top. And by the top, I’m talking about the H in Chevron. If things, read: he, doesn’t get changed out then we are going to repeat this within 2 years. A certain upstream executive needs to stop protecting friends, making huge errors in business plans, and green-lighting wild major capital flops as the DE. I would like to see accountability at the highest level for putting 50,000 people through another grueling layoff. I expect a glorious retirement to be announced, but I hope behind closed doors there is more honesty about the last 10 years of bad decision after bad decision. /rant

Based on last ROM, I assume people who got a job will be called first. Those are the people they care about.
