I just think it’s crazy that this company thinks that a cashier and a backroom associate should be paid the same. They are both important, don’t get me wrong. But with all of the added responsibilities and different things asked of us in the back, they deserved to be paid more than 15/hr

Coming from someone who has seen both sides, yes ,back room associates have to be precise and pay attention to what they are receiving and deal with merchandise coming in and being returned but you cannot compare it to what it is to deal with nasty people on a regular basis. From the person who feels entitled to not wearing a mask, to the person who doesn’t want you to touch their stuff. Cashiers have to deal with everybody, the nice and the nasty who don’t understand they can’t have more than one pack of toilet paper, bag of rice, or pack of Lysol. We deal with all the crazies out there. So appreciate that and be happy cashiers are finally getting paid what they deserve. I have yet to see a freaking back person helping the front end. You won’t see that.
I agree..backroom definitely deserves more than 15 it's a lot of responsibility 😩
Claims is nothing to what it used to be. Really unbelievable how selfish some people are and only think of themselves. Just proves a point that you will never please everyone. Im guessing if you think that then what in the world would you say when told carts is making the same as you as well, and I know damn good and well there's no way you could do carts. Be happy that your coworkers were finally given a raise. The people who have a right to complain on here is the ones that have yet to receive a raise. By the way how many members did you have to ask about upgrading or Sam's credit while you are hid away in the backroom. Also think you people have it pretty made with your schedule most cashiers schedule changes on a weekly basis.
I would like to see some of the front end people come back & try the backroom!!! It is a lot to do with claims & receving stuff to do!!!
You couldn't pay me enough to get me out of the backroom and be a cashier. As far as I'm concerned, that gig is like being in a hostage situation.
No one wants to cashier and deal with the god damn members and the pressure to sell credits and upgrades. That’s why they’re paid more. If you don’t like what your making why don’t you stop b–ching and try amazon or target or another company paying entry level at $15...
What about merchandiser's?? They do all the heavy lifting and haven't gotten a raise, while 1 of managers just got bumped from 42k to 54k.....What,the F—!!!!
