boss isnt at his office, neither is his car...

  • does that mean he got canned or that he is safe? which of the two would require you to physically visit someone? the guy never leaves his office

Bosses have been secretly returning to the office to see who is committed to actually working instead of goofing off at home.

Check the local bar pronto! While you are at it, pick me up a 6 pack as well.

Chevron HR is quite accommodating to bosses that are shy or scared about delivering bad news to employees. I don't know if this is because HR is so helpful, or if the leadership team directs them to do so, meaning letting the boss of the hook. Witnessed this first-hand through multiple rounds before being my position was eliminated. Boss collected me for a meeting with the bigger bosses, and HR as it turned out, and then continued to walk past the meeting room door while I went in. Dumb on me.

I do not know of anyone who has been notified they are left standing, so those calls may not have gone out yet.
