Did anyone get an offer from the rep? Or does it only come from the job owner? My meeting is today but it's with the rep so I'm assuming it's bad news 😥

So what was it?
True if put in a transitional job you can’t get a job outside of chevron before May 2021.
If you are left standing you can get a job ASAP ....... well as soon as you file the paperwork ..... few weeks.
Can you revoke your EOI before you are left standing? If you are disciplined after you sign the EOI, can CVX let you go without the severance package?
Rep called me to lay me off
Was the May stipulation due to them placing you in a transition assignment? You could still compete in PDC assuming you would want to stay with Chevron.
Wait.... what?? Can’t get a job outside of Chevron till May 2021? Or it negates severance package?
We get severance in January.
Well, at least you know where your loyalty stands with CVX. My advice, don’t come in early, don’t stay late. Put in the bare minimum and use this time from now until May to apply for other jobs and/or make business plans.
I put in for EOI, and started making plans. I hope they don’t try that on me. It will throw a wrench into my life 🔧
My rep called me and gave me an offer.
It was a complete surprise. If I leave before May it negates the severance package.
Did you know if you were left standing that there was a possibility that you couldn’t take a job until May or did that come as a complete surprise?
Got a meeting scheduled with Rep and then HR joined in the call. Left standing, but can’t take another job outside of Chevron until May.
Not necessarily. There are so many people to contact that some selection teams share the load of notifications. If HR joins the call then that would not be a positive sign. Good luck.
I had a job offer and the call was from my selection rep. I know others who also received the offer, and the offer letter email, from their rep so it might not be bad news.
I think it would typically come from a job owner or delegate though.
