Team Commissions are “Messed Up”

Just a quick question to the Management Staff: Hey if it’s a Team Commission Structure, why don’t ya’ll jump on and help out? It’s fair for the Reps & for ya’ll? Why do u guys just sot around and try to “Coach” people on dumb stuff? Just sayin...(Negative comments & peoples’ frustration is always welcome). It wud make perfect sense since we’re “A TEAM” now right? We do all the work. What do ya’ll do, not saying ya’ll don’t don’t do anything lolzz but it seems like ya’ll just wanna get paid based outta Reps Hard Work. And why are “METRICS, they call it KPI” etc are coming up where its a “Store’s” performance. Is there someone who keeps track of what “THEY” do?? Bcz it seems like they’re just busy planning their days off/vacations, yet the frontline workers r putting in everything they got to make the average pay, “IF” that still exists. Everyone wants to work less & less and get paid in the end bcz its a “TEAM” based commission.

When your manager is doing a refresh or some other labor task why don’t you help and not flicking your screen. Learn VRMS help out your candy will still be there to be crushed and you grinder to grind.

An all digital Black Friday weekend would not be a bad idea because of staffing and employee safety concerns. Most major retailers with much bigger location are doing it that way.
The stores will be busy with in store and curbside pickups. They dont have to be aggressive with promotions that will crowd and overwhelm the stores! Ifthey don't they have total disregard for the safety of the front line. A side note in years past ( corporate) employees) came to store to help out on Black Friday (they dont help they stand around and BS with each other) There will be no sign of them this Black Friday!

I worked on the reports and I cN say with certainy
They knew they were messed up.
They would sometimes mark sales that were not just to meet payroll deadlines.
I even went to human resources and complained that it was unethical
And they took me off the report. That was their way of dealing with it..to just sweep it under the rug

Believe me its not just 1 zone in NYM/ NJ were there's no Sm or gm movement ! Lazy is not the word! We have 2 sms that do not help with the que,( they make reps do it)no pushback on customers standing in the store for 2hours for phone content,no reinforcement of safety protocols,no control on overcrowding etc the reps are doing everything with this unfair survey tied to our selling payouts These people get more pay and higher commissions for not doing much. I hope that Black Friday is all digital because of whats going on. Now with a 2nd covid spike in NY/ NJ

I just changed stores and now I understand bad managers. Old team was amazing on 3 things: morale in store, taking care of the customer without being a robot, floor and door management. RIS was well into the 90s, staff was happy and zero negotiate coaching.

New store wow. All negative. Worried about metrics that don't matter on how people get paid anymore. Zero ability to manage the door, employees have no idea the process and standards. The customers have different experience from day to day and hour to hour.

Appointment work most of the time, as long as they are managed, and most importantly taken on time.

The company keeps spending time on these new models, I think now we have GROW. Verizon is a mess.

Sad

You have bad managers. To be fair, there's way more bad ones than good ones, but the best stores I've ever been in with the best morale not only had managers who ran through the queue but they'd take over your setups and transfers so you could move on and make money.

There's a zone in NYM where hardly anyone can move up bc it's filled with sh– managers doing the bare minimum and refusing to move anymore. But SOOO concerned they're gonna be part of the next layoff year-after-year.

Words don’t matter. The company has our back, or it does not matter.

SMs and GMs are heroes right now. Don't let this person get you down. As a rep I appreciate all the hard work going above and beyond having their reps health and safety at the highest priority. Also considering the business needs. Fluff off cuz ima rep and this is tru. Op's leaders sound like they could be bad but know that da hard werking ones are appreciated.

Your also probably the type of rep who also puts 0 effort into their craft. Judging by your rhetoric it sounds like your having trouble with your metrics, kpi’s, and overall attitude/outlook of work. Your managers are right on coaching you for it because your probably a rotten team mate too. Judging by your rhetoric on a “lay-off board” it sounds like your an opportunist, and the type of rep who also cherry picks their customers and lets their teammates bear many of burdens on the sales floor. Finally it also sounds like you have some type of qualm with managers planning vacation/days off which leads me to believe that you are also full of envy and lack a good work/life balance, there’s also a name for this, and it’s called making the schedule for the team; yourself included. Genius.

I don't know about your but our SMs and GMs but ours in the whole territory have been working more and harder then they ever have. They have our backs and won't let any of us reps take any flack from customers. They should be given a medal for putting them self on the front line of the people who come to stores. Sorry if you are experiencing different.
