I thought we were hiring people that could at least read, even if they graduated from Texas schools! I was wrong!

It looks pretty clear to me that employees aged 52-54, or NRE, are not protected at all. They could clearly be terminated without the compensation offered in the involuntary plan (as could anyone retirement eligible, who doesn't take the voluntary plan).

Actually, correction to last post, I meant 3.5 years before I am retirement eligible, not NRE.

So what if you are past the protected 52-54 age range (I am 62) but are short 3.5 years of service to become NRE, are you safe because you are over the age of 55? Or are you more of a target to be laid off?

@1xfc Yes you will be paid for any unused vacation out of your 6 weeks. The 2 floating holidays don’t get paid in lieu so take those before Jan 31

What about vacation? If I retire Jan 31st, I should get 6 weeks vacation on Jan 1st to be reimbursed for.

Info in @ooe‘a post is mostly incorrect.

52-54 protected and cannot volunteer and will not be let go as part of involuntary.

If retirement eligible (55 and 15 years service), you can volunteer if you want but will not be part of involuntary.

Severance for voluntary is 4 months.

Severance for involuntary is anywhere between 4 weeks and 52 weeks based on years of service. It is not 4 weeks/year. There is a chart in the FAQs that will tell you exactly how many weeks will apply.

Please realize that 55+ without the 15 years of service is part of the involuntary phase.

Darren Woods should have gotten the axe on his performance review... what an under-performer he is...

It’s not 4 weeks/year for severance but everything else looks correct.

52-54 group is NRE. Meaning your safe till 55, but not able to take advantage of voluntary because you are not retirement eligible.

Wow this is heartless. Imagine working for 50+ hours for 20 years and putting up with all the Exxon group to be let go without a severance. For those 52+ that do let go or leave, tell your kids to stay away

Ok. I was under the impression those retirement eligible were safe if they didn’t take the voluntary package but it seems like they can be laid off without a package at all.

Somewhat makes sense - otherwise it created age discrimination that everybody 52+ would be safe while those below would be part of the layoff.

This is what this image is saying - I am not sure who the author is, but it seems like it's a part of a chat or an email that folks were exchanging.

So, take this with a grain of salt:

certain retirement eligible staff will be offered a 4 month pay incentive to retire by 31 January. they will have until 20 Nov to decide. If rediction targets are not met, involuntary separatons will be done. involuntary separations will get 4 weeks pay per year of service with 52 week maximum." "if you are over 52 or retirement eligible, the involuntary separation package does not apply so if offerened and declined, you could be forced out wiht no incentive."

Will Darren Woods take the voluntary option?

Whoa. They really want those 52+ out.

Any mentioning of bridging for age and service?
