Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

2/2/2

Based on the forum, involuntary separation is 2/2/2, right? The slide said “Employees selected for involuntary redundancy who sign warner and release form will receive a severance payment.

  • Calculate based on years of service: Minimum of 4 weld post up to maximum of 52 weeks pay for employees with 28+ years service “.

If you were brand new, and they add 2 years to your service x two weeks per year, that would be the minimum of 4 weeks they outlined.

cka+17FVFlZJ Agree. They have been secretly buying and spending a lot of money in the background. This is all bs. They should be held accountable.

That rumor was likely spread by management to get you to shift the blame to your coworkers instead of the corporation. A small % cut on the dividend and they could pay 10% of all employees for the next few years to leave. Hold your “leaders” accountable

Rumor has it the 2/2/2 may have been the plan until too many folks in Europe & Australia volunteered... So they shaved things WAY back for the US. Seems silly they essentially won't be insentivising retirement at all. Normal stuff plus 4 months of pay isn't enough to change someone's career timeline in my opinion. Maybe eligible folks will learn more through private emails?

OP here. They just posted the breakdown on the Employee Connect site. I now see that I am completely wrong. My bad. Wish I could delete.
