Stock price down sharply at the end of Oct means Q3 was bad and that got leaked. A bad omen.
If you have Dell stock, dump it right away!
I got out ago few weeks ago at 52 week highs. If they do sell VMware next year Dell becomes just hardware company no future.
The issue isnt the stock price, it's those selling, those volumes are massive, and the dollars are off the charts, They know whats coming.

The election and COVID cases going back up are what’s driving the stock market right now. Numerous stocks aren’t doing well, not just Dell.
I think we need to do a little research before assuming that only Dell’s performance is what’s driving their stock to go down.
