My supervisor was PIP'd.
I am with the chemical company. My supervisor seems to be disappointed because only 20 employees in the US will be impacted by this round of cut. For the past 6 months, SLS's have been hard at work preparing long lists of names. Let's hope their names will be on the list one day as well.
Redundant, worthless middle managers that don’t appear to add any value whatsoever are the financial drag on the company. If the right-sizing consultants had done at least a little digging, the campus tree could have been significantly pruned and next quarter’s precious dividend could have been funded by the savings gained from chopping a bunch of $300K/year millstones.
I agree. I have been with the company for 18 years and held various key technical roles. My 25-year-old SLS is telling me what to do every day. If I disagree, it will become a performance issue. In the meantime, the job family lead considers me as a threat to his career and wants to get rid of me to eliminate competition.
Let’s hope they are going to be getting notices as well in December. Don’t really think It was the worker bees that got us to this point....
