I didn't work much Thursday and Friday, after the announcement Thursday morning. I know we all knew this was coming, to some degree, but seeing the numbers and the timeline made it real. So, I took some time to myself. Very privileged, I get it. After this "time off," the full weight of my stress from being at EM came crashing down on me. I'm exhausted. I'm ready to leave. I am fully prepared to do this without the voluntary package... but it'd of course be nice to have some healthcare while I take some time off and get what little is being offered for severance.
I'm well aware there's no formal 'expression of interest' option for the involuntary package... but I'm wondering if any managers here have ideas for helping things move in that direction? Seems like the package is bad enough, that volunteering for it should be an option... might help save the folks that are more invested/actually want their jobs at EM. Me? I'm so, so done with this place.
Thanks... and good luck everyone.
