Another Associate out with Covid????

So it appears that one of our associates has tested positive for Covid. This person has been gone for almost 2 weeks now. When management was asked about why we were not told, the answer was everyone who had contact w/this person for 15 minutes or more were. Well that is not the truth. Many of us were in close proximity to this indivdual, not only on the front end but also in the breakroom. This is b.s.. If I test positive and bring it home to my at risk other half....I am going to sue this company.

At a morning meeting recently, a manager, who called the meeting for the purpose of talking about the second wave, mentioned quite casually that our case count was about 8. I have only heard of 2. Thanks.

Lawsuits go much father if you don't sue the company. Just sue the manager. The company won't provide him/her with protection. If your lawsuit has any bearing, the company will turn their back on the manager, leaving them hanging.

Unfortunately you can’t sue this company for not telling anyone. They will lie to your face and threaten anyone that knows about it not to say a word to anyone else. I have proof that they did that to me and other people. They searched my social media accounts to see if I had told anyone. Luckily I don’t really have Facebook! I wish I could have sued them for it but instead I had a target on my back and I was let go for something that everyone else does including management and is still doing!

In the case of infectious diseases there is no hippa violations. They just can't reveal how sick or where they're at or if anyone in their family has it.

For any concerns I would get tested.

Post ID: @wfl+17IymrOA I beg to differ with your snarky remark. I am very familiar with HIPPA...I worked 28 years in personnel/payroll etc. While I realize we do not have the right to know who is ill, we certainly have the right to know that someone we had close contact with is ill with COVID. I was told all people that were in contact with this person for more than 15 minutes were advised. That is not the truth. This is a front end person who ws around many people. I sat at lunch and she joined me...30 minutes....okay? Got it?

HIPAA. I see you and your employer are not familiar with the federal law.
