Has anyone heard about the HQ in Dallas moving to the Houston campus?

The king and his court do not move from the palace to live among the dirty peasants regardless of whether the empire is falling.

Not happening. It’s the same reason why Chevron won’t ever leave San Ramon, California despite it being a rumor for the past 10 years. The execs don’t want to leave their nice mansions and work amongst the peons.

I’m not a fan of Houston or Dallas but I’d rather live in Houston. Closer to Austin, San Antonio, NOLA, and the beach. In Dallas you’re close to...OKC, wow so fun...

Who the hell would want to move to Houston? I moved from the DFW area in 2017 to work at the HC. Got the NSI and took the PIL back in August and moved back up to the Dallas area.

Houston is truly the armpit of Texas.

It's been a rumor at HQ for over 10 years. Who knows if it will ever happen.

That plan is too rational, would save too much money, and would remove a barrier to executive management in times when they need to be reinforced and built higher.

Would be too close to the business to be able to keep their heads in the sand. Reality would be too much of a shock...

Nope. The reason the campus is in Houston was to not have corporate and EMRE near each other. HQ just wants to be able to eat and sh– in the bed without the added distractions that come with Houston Campus.

Most of Dallas can make that move, freeing up some valuable property.
But the highest levels cannot leave their and spouse's heart behind: the Dallas Opera.
That group will not move, come hell and inevitable high water in Houston.

Howard Hughes holed up for decades in a Vegas suite.
In sum: smaller footprint in Dallas, but remains 'HQ'.
