Buy at the top sell at the bottom. Brilliant. Seems contrary to the Buffet method of investment.
T has been shopping around Mex T assets for a while, but there's no takers at the price they're asking. T spent $2.5B to acquire 8.5 million subs from lusacell /NextTell . Reports are they really haven't grown much I think they're at around 12 million subs.. they're 3rd behind the two large incumbents of TelCel and Movistar . I think T was asking for $3B, but it may be less, when you cosider these kind of deals are usually a blend of equity, stock, cash etc..
Really they're options for selling the assets are limited because of regulatory constraints and poor market environment during the height of a pandemic. I think maybe if they sell for less than $1.5B they may have some interest, of course that means they lost $1B
