When do you think Chuck will hand the keys over to Fran?

Fran is a political science major and her Linked in says she is a social justice warrior.
While she is not appropriate to lead HR much less Cisco, it has been my observation that she is in charge of the company.
Old Chuck the Schmuck says hello in company meetings and then she takes over.

That is why Cisco pays $5M to BLM and then says we are cutting $1B resources with Billions in the bank.

I believe Chuck is compromised or incompetent and Fran is running the company for her political objectives.

Left with the Oct ER, but honestly was planning my departure for 1 year.
Cisco is toxic now - dont talk about having the best people, or the cisco family or even innovation!

Sad state for such a great company that i gave so much too!.

I thought Anuj would've made a decent CEO. But he was smart, he jumped ship before it started sinking. As a Chief Strategy Officer he realized that there's no strategy! Liz Centoni seemed to be primed for the the role but she's an airhead. Jonathan Davidson might be a better candidate.

You just better hope Todd Nightingale doesn’t get a whiff of any top leadership position. I can’t believe he’s in the ELT.

Will the company survive long enough to have another CEO?

Chuck is a terrible CEO! He is accountable to shareholders to return rev growth and profit. Aside from stock buybacks to grow EPS, that hasn’t happened. Every CEO in history gets fired for that. Nuff said...

If everyone here thinks Chuck is such a bad CEO, why on earth do you think Fran would do better? She's not a salesperson (like Chuck) or the tech guru everyone thinks the CEO should be.

There's an old saying in management, you don't measure what you get, you get what you measure. Within 2 quarters of Chuckie launching a jihad on hardware, just about everything seemed to show up in a "software" bucket. I listened to one earnings meetings and CR was being quizzed on the percentage of revenue that is now subscription and software. To be frank, I was staggered at the percentage at the time (a few years back) and almost NOTHING had changed (except the classification by middle management to meet the targets).

Transition to software products? Where are these products? Where are the teams working on these software products? Nothing software related is happening in San Jose. We sell legacy switches and routers.

The previous Cisco leadership envied Robbins benefiting from the new economy beginning in early 2017. They were burdened by the '08 recession plus eight years of a business stifling administration in D.C. Today, the strategy Robbins is espousing is what he was stating three years ago but the transition to new software products is exceptionally slow. And now this is what he is telling Wall Street. But each of his direct reports should be removed along with several levels in the CX leadership chain as Robbins transition in this sector has been financially and functionally inept. Then there is the lackluster Service Provider strategy at a time when the largest competitor, Huawei, cannot sell in the largest US SP sector.

Yes it is time for Robbins to go. As his Wall Street friend, Jim Cramer, said in August after the Q4 release "Cisco is a sad story".
