I thought Mexicali was out if bldgs space. They built the 777 bldgd a few years back and that was all the land they had. Maybe they moved something out.
It's not done yet, transitions will drag it out for two years

UOP in Tulsa might as well close as well. The cryo business is dead and the flare company is a mess. UOP and their “leaders” from Des Plains have driven these companies into the group, long before covid...

Tulsa finally announced huh? They’ve been kicking that one around for quite some time. Was originally supposed to go to Tempe. Can’t believe it ended up in Mexicali but not surprised. The plan was to send all Torrance non gov heat exchangers to Mexicali as well. We’ll see what happens. There is a reason Mr. JW is at Torrance now and he’ll be retiring in the next year, two tops.

Ah, So much for the Idea/Meme of returning/keeping jobs in the Good ole US of A. Low labor cost will always win the race to the bottom line. Good luck landing on your feet. There is one Honeywell site that is still hiring, its about two hundred miles northeast of Tulsa.

Sorry to hear it. If the site is closing, where is the work moving to?

It's all part of the strategic plan to close sites, don't be surprised....5 site will be left at the end and COVID is making it easy to execute to that plan without any real demand in the sites. Just wait to see what happens when demand returns and there is no one with the know how to do the work......no worries, Madsen will be long gone by then and it will be someone else's problem.
