Salary of those near retirement

For those of you near retirement, what salary did you top out at? Looking to get a better understanding before trying to leave.

If you are asking what salary is used for pension calculation, it’s the highest of your last 3 years.

Great question ! Well Lee Raymond got $26M/ year, Rex got $28M, and then I got $80K. At an average retirement salary is .. ummm .. $27M, give or take a few millions.

$328k excluding benefits and matching. Engineer (BSME ‘80j. EMDC drilling group. I was a rotator working every other month (nice work if you qualify). Retired in 2016. +35 years in the oil field was enough. Never got laid-off. Weathered many many downturns. Stayed focused on operations; declined managements positions. I was a doer and I did it well. It is really sad to see what is happening today to the industry.
