Any news on when we will get our 401K matching back? There does not seem to be much incentive to stay around here anymore. I wanted to retire from here but the way things have changed lately I feel I should move on. I have been here for 19 years and I just don't see it getting better. I have seen many valued employees get laid off this year and fear this place is doomed.

@jna+17MY8V5B You do realize how beneficial it is to MOVE companies often? The whole idea of sticking around a company being loyal died with the American dream and the economy the boomers ruined for the next generation.
People these days need to actually be willing to leave and give companies at least some incentive to pay them decently at all since unions aren't a thing.
I say this as someone that finally saw the light coming up on 20yrs here myself like a dumb–s. Should have taken so many chances to jump ship to competitors or other industries headhunting back when talent was thin, but now it's a cluster trying to find something else.
Now I just show up, sit in my office on job boards sending out resumes and collect my ever shrinking paycheck and benefits from NOV like everyone else in my department.

Stay at NOV, no sense in wasting 19 years just to start over and go through all of this with a new company. Hope like hell that fat orange id–t isn't president for 4 more years because if he is...you can kiss your social security goodbye.
Once a company takes something away, it never comes back.

Milk it as much as you can tolerate it. The job market in this industry is not going well. Everyone else ain’t doing jack all so just get your money.
Look at the mo–ns on top, they don’t care about 401ks....they are getting paid handsomely even in a downturn pandemic. They suk....it all up.
It's not going to get better with the current management. Every year it has gotten worse. Cut your ties and move on. It's morphed into a terrible company.
