Does anyone else here think that the company has been completely ruined after being bought by amazon?

The workers are replaceable so are the customers it more a matter of just not being as bad as other company's.
The customer no longer matters, the Team Members don’t matter... it’s all about that $$$$$$ anyone unhappy? You’re replaceable
Whenever I have a concern, I am fed the line .. “it’s based on the needs of the business”
I’ve been with the company over 15 years.
WF loves k–ling off roles of people that make a decent living then resurect them a few years later with people making less money. Meanwhile they continue to stack the global and regional offices with more roles. This all goes on under the watchful eyes of the white man with the afro who has such a high opinion of himself. He's so conscious and caring that he doesnt even safely navigate the pandemic by forcing his company to follow procedures.
It was going downhill before Amazon. I think their downfall started with the layoffs. They purged a lot of good ppl who had been there for years and really were invested. They were replaced with younger, cheaper people who couldn’t care less about the fate of the company. Amazon is smart enough to know that everyone is expendable. I see how quickly their jobs get filled.
Everything veterans hate about the current Whole Foods was happening before Amazon bought us. That said, the Amazon culture has ensured that there's no going back to the Whole Foods that preferred leadership over micromanagement. There's no going back to the time when team members were valued enough to keep, nurture, and grow into new roles. There's no going back to the time when we didn't loose multiple team members every week. There's no going back to the time when a Whole Foods store was staffed by an engaged, vibrant, and diverse group of people who were knowledgeable and passionate about their unique products.
I can't speak for everyone, but I loved my job so much that it took a few years for me to recognize that the culture I so loved was now a putrescent corpse.
No WFM ran itself unto the ground long before the amazon acquisition. If things had been going well before the sale wouldn't have needed to even happen. The problems still exist the only difference is the delivery and lick up options being offered. Leadership is as poor as ever and they focus too much on how much they do for the planet which isn't allot.
