Are we getting ant raises soon? We work our butts off every single day. How can they expect just a handful of people get the entire floor stocked in 3 to 4 hours when before you had at least 12 getting it done in eight hour shift with no member interruption. We definitely all deserve pay raises.

In my state, minimum wage is going to $11 soon. Hard to believe but at that time Sam's will officially be a minimum wage job :(

The worse part is long time associates barely making 13 an hour, meanwhile you have new hires making the same or more than you and you spent well over a decade of your life in this place.
You are stuck though because with regulations almost assured to be slapped back on manufacturing jobs, those jobs will be getting laid off in droves and sent more and more overseas. So the only smart option is maybe going to work for a Publics or Costco that makes you bust your tail, but at least you get better pay.
How did the clubs that have overnight get that done?
Was it by managers or CM. Or was it because the associates spoke up??

My CM said in a meeting with associates there wasn't any planned raises anytime soon. Some of the new hires started quitting after that meeting. In the hiring process they were told they would soon be making $15, now we are short staffed because of these lies.
The company has to know they made a mistake in getting rid of overnights. Now do they care?? Hell no they don’t. They knew exactly what they were doing. The plan was to exploite the overnight crew as much as possible so they wouldn’t have to hire people for the departments. Merchandisers take care of everything during the day but when the store closes, we are left with a disaster of a store and only 2 hours to fix everything and no help from anyone else.
My club has had a night shift since March. That’s the only way it gets stocked right. We will probably never get a raise so I’m planning on leaving next year after burning all my pto and personal time.
