Pay-grades salary ranges

Can someone please help me with salary ranges for grades 27-32?
It is specific to IT if it matters.

I was a grade level 28 in the midwest- salary was 92k.

I'm going off memory, but in the midwest, I think a grade 28 is around 70,000-135,000.

If I recall correctly for New York area

Grade 29: $ 94K-$149K

But unfortunately I cannot tell for sure, it has been a while

They vary great by location and then the ranges themselves are very wide in each grade. Its ambiguous on purpose. Once your in you are stuck and any raises or promotions will depend on where you are in terms of "Market Penetration" for your current grade but within budget and HR rules. Your best bet is to leave externally and then come back if you wish but remember most jobs / depts have a limit on what they are willing to pay for a req and HR weeds out any applicants over that regardless of ability. They will not pay up unless its executive leadership or your a close friend / family of someone making the decision.

Thanks for the reply. I get that that. But how good it is to know after you joined the company and get stuck promotion wise...

All the salary ranges are posted on the Hub, by state, available to any employee to view and digest. Only non-employees would not have access to the data.
