IT getting outsourced?

Is entire IT getting ready to be outsourced and they named it as "Transformation"?

Large parts of IT have been outsourced for years particularly on the support side. Many of the outsourced services are poor value and weak. Other parts of IT have been drastically culled, programs and projects abandoned and any improvements based on cost reduction. Of course saving money means a bonus for execs and then these people will call it sucess when they jump ship to the next failing enterprise and do the same again.
The impact of losing so many skilled IT workers and the work they were doing will really be felt over the next couple of years as IT falls futher and further behind and service degrades and falters. Dont base your whole idea of IT as the helpdesk.

@xab+17SyJta5 Yes the algorithm simply responds to open cases by sending an email saying "Your case has been resolved." With a link to a survey about how well the case was handled.

I was at Sun when Sun outsourced all its IT to CSC Corporation. Since Cisco is circling the bowl like Sun and SGI it sounds like a the logical thing to do.

It never stopped. RJ started the process years ago and got her golden parachute. It’s just a continuation of the cost savings. The move toward zero trust is one step toward BYOD and more cost savings.
