Like some of you have said, the company wants "yes" men. they don't want to hear or see any ideas or suggestions from anyone at store level.
As for management hiring a team lead from outside over people in the building that applied, maybe the people that applied aren't strong enough. Just because they've worked there several years doesn't mean they have the ability to run a department.
I might have to train a new cashier, but they don’t need to expect me to train a new cos. Hope the new ones knows how to swim.
hello, they have been hiring managers from outside the company too. Sam's is no longer a place to work from the bottom up they try to eliminate the long term person. so far at my club we have three teamleads from outside the club and two managers wake up people

I agree that's wrong. But TL's are now Management. How many of those 15 people who truly understand that, would have applied? And then how many of those would have lasted very long in the position? Maybe 1 or 2, so I get it, but not 15.
The associate that has been doing the click n pull, etc. for 3 years says she isn't going to do anything the new team lead says because no one is going to tell her what to do.
Our store did that with the bakery team lead we had over 15 employees apply for bakery from inside store and they hired from outside sooo not fair. It’s a slap in the face for the bakery associates that applied
