Easiest way to impress your LL6 and LL5 is to have the same last name as an LL4 or higher.

Make presentations on projects at large forums and add their names and give credit for their “guidance”
I am also in my 20s with a grad degree.
There is way too much babying at Ford. The amount of times I hear:
Don’t spend too much time on it if it is too hard
or something of that sort is ridiculous. The standards and expectations they have are embarrassingly low. They consider showing up to a meeting as an accomplishment.
You don’t even need to show up. People won’t hold anyone accountable.
Young minds? WTH I'm 27 years old with a graduate degree. Not a damn child. Stop referring to us as some type children that need protection from scary thoughts, ideas, and opinions. So sick of some at Ford that think it's their job to parent anyone younger than them.
Just inserting here, anyone else off the kool-aid to see how they are announcing moving more jobs to India and Mexico? These are not jus IT but also PD and Purchasing.
Young minds. Lol
Lol on PD Guy. Yep you are different and a special shining star....all these other people at Ford are horrible people. Thinking PD Guy is HR or related to recruiting as he has the shtick down pat. I was fed the same line approximately 20 years ago nearly verbatim. After working in multiple organizations during that time, I can tell you that PD guy is handing you a line of BS is likely one of the cut throats that eat gullible people that believe it for breakfast. You see, the more people that believe the sunshine talk, the better chance people like him can step over their dead careers as they claw up the ladder.
Well said PDGuy, I agree 100%
Be honest, put your best foot forward always, stay positive, keep your skills up to date, look at the problems as opportunities and embrace them , offer solutions and make sure you get credit for your contributions (you need to market yourself, for the work you do).
The most important thing: Do not listen to the negativity on this board. These negative and bitter people may have experienced different circumstances. You are different and you can make your mark with smart, honest and tactful hard work !
All the best !
Lavish them with gifts. Offer to take care of their dry cleaning. Wash their cars on a weekly basis. Clean their gutters in the fall. Shovel the show of their drives after each snowfall. Put up and take down their Christmas decorations during the holidays. Offer yourself as the pool boy in the summer.
Did I miss anything?
We're going to talk about this again? I'm sorry but this is the post that will not go away.
Shut your mouth and do what they say.
