So funny when they 1st told us they were considering to close Fairlawn. The mayor jumped in and offered to raise the money to fix the infrastructure. Mdlz said no. that just tells me it was never about the infrastructure! Chicago plant is as old or older and the Richmond plant has never run as efficient as Fairlawn. This is a p.o.s. company to work for! We worked our butts off during covid and produced the most product of all bakeries and this is how we get rewarded! FYI who are they kidding that they aren't moving any work to Mexico-all lies...Fairlawn plant manager was part of the downfall of our plant! Horrible arrogant and nonexistence when needed! I would love to be there when karma comes for all involved in the demise of over 600 jobs here in NJ and 400 more in Atlanta. Gee guess the CEO making 18 million wasn't enough....

Could be they want to see which group of employees are willing to give back the most and what government is willing to cut them the biggest welfare check. The rest go to mexico.

This company cares absolutely nothing about their employees!! Wolrd wide the employees are not happy. Mondelez main focus is to satisfy their investors at all costs. They are a global A– KISSING COMPANY!!!

if you think MDLZ cares about its employees ask the people at the other plants that closed how they were treated. they could care less about you as an employee. they go where they can make the most money.
imagine all the people that lose their jobs when DSD is gone. No sales reps, no mechandisers, no warehouse employees,no drivers. no offices,no managers,no buildings. they only have to make the product to go to warehouses instead of filling up a MDLZ warehouse.

I think it will be a terrible way to treat the employees of both plants, as everyone was working their butts off for this company all during this pandemic and now they want to kick them to the curb...wow! If they do this, they should pay them for a year to give them time to regroup and find employment, but what about the older employees who won't be able to find work? Billions dollar company and this is how they treat their devoted employees...

I think Mondelez is scaring everyone so that they can motivate workers to actually come to work during this high peak demand. In the beginning of the pandemic they had such high amounts of callouts. Pandemic and holidays, everyone’s home snacking. Just check their quarterly report. Huge demand on product. They did great. They need the employees just as much as the employees need them. Union should use leverage and have a walk out demonstration before Thanksgiving.

In field sales we have those rah rah speeches too. Last one we had to tell us all our jobs were safe ended in a reduction of 1/3 of the field reps.
My one piece of advice, DO NOT BELIEVE A SINGLE WORD THAT COMES OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS!
They do this ahead of the transitions to calm fears when people start to see changes. They need you till the end, they they kick you to the curb.
I'm go to work, and go home. I miss every single objective, by a mile, and can't wait till they try to fire me for performance. My DM doesn't think we pay attention.....but we do! hahahaha

Which plant do you work at? We had a meeting in Fair Lawn Nj on Thursday saying they they are planning on closing the Atlanta plant and the Fair Lawn plant. A final decision will be made in 2 to 6 months. Kinda weird tbh because they just started hiring about a month ago.
