Question on Title offerred

I was interviewed for a title and when i got the offer letter, i got a different title. HR told me its the same role but for internal admin purpose. Is it common at honeywell. Also, what titles come under band 5

@2bnz: With all the grammar and punctuation mistakes in the OP's post I seriously doubt it's anyone being considered for an executive position. I would also agree it's likely a bogus post.

I thought they got rid of band 5 and created E band to replace it. This post might be bogus.

Unless you really need the job - don't take it.
Be strong and say "I interviewed for role x, so that's what I expect".
Come back to me when you can.

Titles mean nothing for the most part at honeywell. Managers are actually lower in seniority than some of their direct reports and afraid of their own employees.

All that matters is salary and buy-out (severance) packages. All other ‘regular’ employee rights that exist at other places don’t apply. Even your 401k money is at risk before the end of the year payout. If you have a problem with title swapping, your not going to make it in this company.

If a person interviewed and got offered a band 5 job, I don't think they would be asking this question. Those jobs go to insiders; people who know people and expect shenanigans lke title changes.

If you are interviewing from outside of Honeywell, immediately reneg and continue searching for a job or take this and keep searching for a job. Then leave without giving Honeywell any notice. You will thank me later. Do not think of this as unethical, just wait until you see how Honeywell will treat you.

What you need to know when joining this company is that HR exists solely to protect the interests of the company from its employees. Don't let a few smiles and polite emails fool you - they are mean junkyard dogs hired to execute the will of the corporate leadership team. The moment it becomes apparent that you have a need that will cause a policy exception or cost the company money, you will see teeth, not compassion. Welcome to Honeyhell.

"It's just the title"- common HR phrase. "No changes in responsibility." They're not even honest and would throw you down the bus before you even get onboarded. This is typical HW business practice unfortunately so you can get used to it.

Band 5 is VP level, as already mentioned. I was hired with a title that gave an indication of what I actually did. My title in Delve reflected seniority level until last year when they "standardized" titles and it looked like I got a demotion but my boss assured me that I hadn't.

Honeywell will be Sh–TING you down to a few less level. Trust me. I finally left for another company and omg the new company treats me decently and respectfully.

Worry about salary not title.
Honeywell routinely reorganizes and demotes midlevel technical people compressing salaries and removing any chance of promotion or raise. Most recently they eliminated staff engineer demoting them to principal.
Whatever you do remember that job one is to look for a better job.
This applies inside honeywell and outside. You will not get promoted far without applying for new positions. Try to move at least every 18 months.
Honeywell offers no pension, once a year 401k match that is held over you like an anchor and most expensive insurance i have encountered. You will get no paid time to learn and tuition reimbursement is routinely cancelled leaving people stuck in the middle of a degree.
You work for you.
