AGE DISCRIMINATION JUDGEMENT AGAINST CHEVRON

Judgement received on 11/14/2020 in federal court for AGE DISCRIMINATION against CHEVRON. The SJVBU HR Dept. couldn't find their A$$ with both hands. Chevron will pay the judgement. An additional benefit: Newer EOI's will include additional language.
"Just because we're older doesn't mean we're over"!

Add reverse racial discrimination! Most if not all the people I know that were laid off were white, mostly white males! Chevron seems to now emphasize diversity over qualifications!

There is a new class action being filed for dismissal due to retaliation. Any news on that?

Unless you have VERIFIABLY SOLID EVIDENCE (ie., company records, emails, witnesses who will show up in court, etc.), don't even THINK of a lawsuit against the company. It will be a monumental waste of your time, peace of mind, and financial resources. And, even IF you have "solid evidence", you'll be waging an uphill battle. I would advise just accepting your fate, settle on your exit strategy, utilize what resources may be yet available to you, and go forth into a New World where anything, if you truly want it, is possible. I've "been there, done that", and believe me,... the positive energy you invest in moving on will be far healthier, in every sense, than the negative energy you will consume if you try to fight "City Hall". (Giving up the desire for "payback" almost consumed ME, but in the end, I'm pretty certain that Karma, as usual, handled THAT matter, far better than I could have.)

@2gyv, No, That information that you are dishing out would be false. I checked it out first hand and I agree with @1mlw. There is not hide nor hair of any of this in any reported legal filings or elsewhere. This is complete fabricated garbage. Own up to it. You have been caught spreading lunacy. You can run along and try your BS scam on someone a little more gullible next time.
Run along now, little boy. you lost the little game you thought were playing.

1mlw+17Z88DOU - You are the one passing bad dope. Facts are facts, and two of us on this thread have already been successful in our cases. VERY SUCCESSFUL! If you are over 40, don't be bullied by the company. Retire when it works into your plans. HR will try to s.c.r.e.w. you until you exercise your option to take the company to court. If you are not ready to retire, save the EOI for toilet paper. If you are harassed by HR to sign the form, take the b–tards to court, and win.

Is SJVBU going to update lease roads and buildings that were named BY the area manager, using his own last name? It’s like a dog marking his territory.

Drain the nepotism/arrogance swamp.

The only problem that you have there with your fantasy is that there was no age discrimination. Both young and old employees were let go. Try again.

FAKE NEWS and The last post was BS. Nice try trolling, loser. If you were a happy camper you wouldn't be trolling a layoff site with no life, no job, no woman, and no prospects.

Already sued and WON. Bypassed contractual arbitration due to discrimination (so CVX contract is void) and CVX decided to settle before reaching the court. I got 4 years in pay, the regular EOI package plus 1 Mill for my stress and my lawyer. I am 56 and happy camper now. So yes there is life after 50
