Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How do I get a raise in Verizon?

Trying to understand how to get a raise in Verizon.

I've been given a new job title, and increased responsibility within the same job family. My job title code number been increased up from xxx72 to xxx71.

Should I expect to receive a raise in this scenario?

Discuss this with your manager, let that person feed you a line of bullsh*t, and watch as they laugh as you slink back to your workspace.

@1npx+17ZbYFtT management has no pension other than what was frozen in 2006

You can expect a raise, and a pension increase.
You are entitled to expect anything, even an elephant parade.
Doesn’t mean it will happen, but you can expect it.

Know your worth and step back and look at the big picture. If you were promoted without a raise that is not a good sign

If you received an inband promotion, they you definitely need to talk to your manager. It is not technically a pay raise, it is a promotion and that has different rules.

Speak up and ask your manager. If ur on here asking for advice you're unqualified to work there.

You have to quit and get rehired.

How do you know what the midpoint is for a jobcode pay range?
How can you check what the pay range is for a role?

Depends. If your current salary is already over the midpoint of the new jobcodes pay range, you may not. That is not typical though. Did you discuss with your manager? Normally that would qualify for an in band increase.
