So this morning over 100 different skus in our club went C closeout .. that's well over half our inventory... there have been rumors of potential department closure in the past and were wondering if this is a step to actual closure. Anyone out there know anything or have any of you been through a closure?

No big loss. Close it down.
Sales mean nothing. PROFIT is everything. If your tire dept can't hit the profit goal you will be closed going forward.
Tma is not closing they are just losing some of the extra space that is not being used and a lot of the tires will be special order and not carried in store. Curbside will acquire some of the space from TMA
Sams club would lose millions of dollars in sales from members giving membership back. Stuff gets cancelled allthe time, same thing happened years ago. We will see new brands being carried in club. No one day events this year, so they slashed all the tire prices.
They did the same at our club. Moved club pickup parking spots next to TMA. I'll be that's why. Transitioning from tire and battery to club pickup.
Space for club pickup after 1st of the year. Will only be 4 clubs in area(like c-gare–es) that will still do tires.
Transitioning to close under performers. Eventually all will be closed.
Our tire department is very busy but we can never tell what corporate will do.
I think they are going to close TMA and use it for club pickup. They already made half the parking spots by my clubs TMA club pickup.
