Why hasn't Whole Foods brought back hazard pay for employees? Cases of covid are worse than ever. Our store has been making so much more money during the pandemic and Jeff Bozo is the richest man in the world. It makes no sense. We should demand our hazard pay or walk out. If customers only knew how many positive cases of covid we've had. Tms on my team have been hospitalized. Ridiculous!

No surprise on the underwhelming "bonus" is way less than what have been made with hazard pay had it not been cut off months ago.
Forget about hazard pay. I miss Gainsharing. I've learned that once they take something away you never get it back.

Its not coming back i can see maybe another one time bonus that would be less than what would have been made if hazard pay had been continued. Unlikely but better chance of that than the return of hazard pay. Just be sure to know global and regional leadership wont be seen in stores except maybe your coordinators for your departments.
I agree. This company doesn't give a damn about us!! All they care about is making money. I hope team members do walk out before they all get infected! We have cases in our store too.
this is why they changed how PTO is accumulated–so we can fluff up our checks everypay period while they have cut labor hours....they dont want to eat into precious labor margins with hazard pay and bonuses....or god forbid another stock grant....thanks beezo and your megalomania.....

It was given originally probably because they thought it wasnt going to last this long. Its not that they can't afford it they just don't want to. They know allot of people are out of work in jobs that can't be open now so they can treat us however they wish. WFM always pats itself on the back about helping people but it won't even throw its TM a bone.
