Mangers are sending out very racially inflammatory content using the Chase email system, which is against company policy. Manager got spanked by HR for doing it. During his apology he admitted the racial agenda is coming from Jamie Dimon. Many team members are starting to fight back and putting in official HR complaints against managers who promote these personal beliefs at work. I would encourage more people to have the courage to stand up against this agenda and push back.

I work in the mortgage division. Processing loans at Chase is very stressful......not worth it. Currently, seeking another job.

Unfortunately there are many like you and YOUR manager with no ethics, forget morals. But it is survival of the fittest in the US where each employee has found, and is finding in this political and social economic times, its way better to have no morals and ethics than care of social rights and the law.

Location strategy was not a 2019 plan it was a plan born after 9/11 to ensure bank functions worked undisturbed in case of a catastrophe, man-made or natural. After the numbers were crunched and projections showed financial gains. it became a goal for all managers. As work is concentrated in specific global sites the reason that created the for "location strategy" are no longer valid. If anything, loading up areas in Poland, Brazil or the Phillipines where human rights are either being deterierated, or continue to be made harsher could have negative impacts to functional flows in the future. Not to say how alarming it is that the Bank is working with countries that have bad human rights record. That alone says something about them.

I refined the the Fine Art Of S—ing Up To my Boss

There's an art to it, if you're not doing it right. More importantly, it will backfire. Your goal is to develop trust between you and your manager since the projects you work on and whether you get promoted is directly tied to your relationship with him or her.

The key is being covert. First up, figure out your boss, most of us know for the most part that they were not merit promotions, at JP Morgan there is this thing called cronyism, This encompasses everything from how your boss talks, his inability to communicate, lack of business acumen and overall work impotence, so start very fast, direct, and methodical praising them for their outstanding work to how much they are superstars , do this daily in your communications.

Also, give your boss the type of work he or she wants, and keep them out of sight, and you will succeed your way out to another failed group.. the JP WAY... as we all know Most of them are useless, fast talkers, Power Point chicken distributors,

"Location strategy" has been a way of eliminating jobs from higher cost locations for many years. This is not new. I was involved in budgets for a long time there.

“Location strategy” was disclosed to non management people for the first time in summer 2019, so company has been planning to take jobs away from Americans and send them to low cost centers way, way before Covid. RIFs kicked up in Fall 2019. So rolling lay-offs for the past 12 months combined with sending people into a pandemic (only big bank to do so).

And they are worried about WFH productivity. How many times can you slap your employees in the face and expect them to stay? It’s remarkable how fast morale has tanked and how much of a reputation hit the bank has taken in the last two years.

People used to be proud to say they worked here, not sure how many would say that now. But hey, I guess you need some foot soldiers to die for your fortress balance sheet.

My sympathies to those who confirmed the RIF firsthand. Know that confirming it might give others a greater heads up or wake up.
