i would go to my xerox job on auto pilot ... dazed and confused most days... and then some days i just felt depressed and stuck... watching my life pass me by... i had a hard time focusing on my tasks no matter how hard i tried. and let’s not forget about the constant “dooms days “ type feeling ... will this be the day i get fired . i felt beyond burned out ! and on the verge of an internal breakdown.
it’s scary looking for a new job when you have been at a job for 10+ years but there are jobs out there .
i would suggest any one interested in leaving xerox to send your resume to staffing agencies and have them filter out jobs fit for you. that’s how i found my new job. and most places are doing web interviews these days.
i’ve been xerox free for about 4 months now ... and feeling very much like myself again.

I was "burned out" for the last three years while looking for another job. I took an internal transfer 12 months ago to hot job market because there was nothing else avail where I was. Go to Youtube and search "liberia cannibals" and feel grateful for what you have while you line something else better. Don't quit with nothing lined up.

Xerox is like a microcosm of the US right now. The people up top controlling things are greedy pigs that only care about lining their own pockets and don't care about healthcare or paying employees a living wage and send our jobs overseas and then try to blame other people instead of their multi-million dollar bonuses they take for cutting heads - not even adding any value or productivity. But even though I'm in a better situation now, I genuinely liked 95% of the people I worked with at Xerox and I wish I had that camaraderie at my new job. Also Xerox really knew the definition of diversity. I kind of forgot not everyone did until I left. But yeah. When I left, I really only left because I knew the days were numbered where I was and it's easier to find a job while you still have one. But it was really hard knowing the ax was going to drop any day and knowing they were just cutting heads quarterly. Really k–ls morale.

I stuck it out as long as I could, hoping I’d maybe be let go and get unemployment and severance. But that doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen for my position. So, with nothing else lined up, I am quitting. I can afford to do so.
If one has a way to pay the bills, have sufficient medical insurance coverage, and long term plan, then quality of life is the direction to head toward. Life is too short.
So glad I saw this and I’m not alone!!! But, I’m not sure on quitting . Like isn’t it a better strategy to do nothing and wait to get fired if you don’t have something lined up? Or to just get out to preserve the little sanity I have remaining ... thoughts?
I'm quitting with nothing lined up. That's how bad it is.
Every day I am close to quitting...one of these soon I will most likely do it...even if I have nothing new lined up yet, it's that miserable

I'm getting out soon, after a long stint with my local company. I can't hack it anymore. Don't care what's next, as long as it's not this.

I’m in tears almost every time my alarm goes off. No part of this job is worth it - actively looking for something else, as soon as I find it. I’m out.
They will burn you out, delay salary increase, RIF you, not pay for weekends/evenings, make you train someone who will shortly take over your job, and then make you sign a piece of paper stating you can't sue them for anything if you want your severance. I don't work for Xerox, but this is what my ex-company did to a group of 100 people.
Yes , hard not to feel it. Seems nothing but negative news within Xerox. From Icahn team, layoffs,furloughs, poor financials to
corona virus tough to stay upbeat.
