Does anyone know what the selection teams do? The reason I’m asking is I see two people on there that are managers but are lower level than the PDRs. Are the PDRs not involved? Or are the selection team people really the ones figuring out where people go? I’m curious as in this scenario, I know both of the selection team members.

If you know folks on the selection Team by all means loop them in on your preferences. There is no PDR relationship in this unless they happen to be your selection rep.
Job owners and delegates will talk to the actual job owner who will be taking over the role. The actual job owner of different then the one listed on CTO will create a short list with the selection reps and listed job owners. They will horse trade the best people around and make sure not to short change any one group or business area. When they come out of this discussion with a recommendation they will know where all the chess pieces will fall.
Now when they go to get it approved is when it gets tricky as they get forced to take someone or their best of the best gets pulled to another BU or function or group. This is when they have to redo the deck and go down in levels on the Short list.
