Order of Job Postings

I saw the job posting tool has it optional to order jobs. My one pager to my PDR is required to be ordered. Does anyone know how important the job ordering is? Or if putting my current job first versus the job I really want matter? will they consider you want to stay In current role even if the other job owner wants you? Or conversely, are you more likely to get ROM’d if the job you want doesn’t want you and you have the current job second?

Also, two of my choices are jobs I don’t want but I chose because they have a lot of openings. I put them as higher pay grade. Does anyone know if this is a stupid strategy.

My brain can’t comprehend this process!!!

I was in Round 3 and didn't order my preferences. I doubt leaving them blank makes any difference.

Without ranking them, just apply in the order they show up in the system.

I was told that if I EOI they will do their best to fill position with someone else

I wouldn’t put any job you’re not willing to stick with for at least 2-3 years on your list.

I would put the job I want first and my current job second if that’s really your preference and you’re equally qualified for both, but as the previous person pointed out you can be placed anywhere they want.

This is a layoff event. Chevron will put you where they want.....or lay you off. I was put in a job that I did not apply for.

I’m in the same boat with frustration. Your strategy is your own. Pick the strategy and don’t deviate. You will drive yourself crazy if you second guess yourself. I am not ranking my job picks. I don’t want any bias creeping in. I also know that I will be on the short list for all jobs chosen. That doesn’t mean anything but at least I know that I have a shot.
