Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

R.I.F. and layoffs

Does anyone know the dates?
What percent of non union members?
What percent of union members being laid off?

The division I work for is I.S.C. Minneapolis location.
Heard they want to close Plymouth and move it into Minneapolis location. Any truth on this news?
Honeywell will consolidate all buildings into one plant before moving the whole operations to a low cost region. Minnesota isn’t a hub.

They claim their be another union contract. I state the high cost regions will be eliminated. Honeywell will not be in Minnesota anymore. Wish someone could confirm this for me.

There is another RAD Hard fab. "Skywater Technology" DOD just invested in them also.

Isn’t Plymouth is the only rad hard (ie old) fab in the country? They have wanted to close it for at least 15 yrs and have not succeeded. Remember that the cash cow Nav products depend on those wafers.

I thought wafer fab would be so expensive to move it won't happen.

Does anyone know when it will happen. Its past Q3 and there is no signs of any layoffs along the corridor other than rumours of it happening.
