Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Still on Furlough for 3 1/2 months

Now that I've been on furlough for 3 1/2 months, I have been going on some interviews and they ask me why I want to leave Xerox. Because it's a sh-thole company now and they don't give a rat's a– about the employees.

Very surprising that customers to large extent are completely oblivious to, or put up with, the chaos happening in the xerox kitchen! Wait staff just keep refilling drinks and bread sticks...maybe that’s a green light for more furloughs!

Xerox is like a chocolate covered piece of sh–.... looks great on the outside by someone looking at it but get too close and you see the truth!

Following the same path as Kodak. Everyone on the outside thought it was a strong, iconic corporation. But on the inside we could all see it falling apart at the seams.

Direct Xerox here...health benefits/life insurance etc. same as if you were working. However you have to pay out of your own pocket for those month to month. Company vehicle sitting in my garage and if you drive no miles you won’t be charged a Personal Use Charge assuming you were on the plan where you could drive personal miles. The cheaper plan vehicle just sits for free as you couldn’t use it for personal use anyway. Cell phone and computer are to remain off. You keep them but they tell you not to turn either on even for a brief moment as that would constitute working. AND....I have been on furlough for a shade over 4 and a half months. Also agree with the OP that people on the outside of Xerox don’t realize how c-appy the company is. The consumer just sees an iconic company and is clueless how close it is to being bankrupt thanks to Carl junior and johnnyV

When an employee is on furlough, what do they maintain? Health benefits? Service vehicle? cell phone?
