Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

CX San Jose

I heard CX will be hard hit and TAC finally shutting down after years of speculations. Who will take over their work?

"Better quality support from India" That is hilarious. Every part of outsourcing has been a disaster. CONUS customers are not renewing or are demanding rebates because of the garbage they get for their money. Off shoring has lowered quality substantially and has caused groups to have to redo work that 3 incompetent buffoons from there can't get done right. There are some diamonds from there but very few.

SJ TAC must be shifted to India for better quality support at a fraction of the price.

I have worked with San Jose TAC in the past as customer and I agree that its one of the best. Sorry to hear that they are doing layoffs and it might be closed, I can say that the quality is going to go down. People who are impacted, I wish you the best, you will do well just because you are the best in the business.

San Jose TAC is one of the best overall, yes there are some teams which are new and mostly all the teams are understaffed however if customers are saying TAC support is terrible that's sad. The way it has been downsized over the years is now reflecting in customer sentiment.

With Cisco DNA, the network runs you.

CX owns the Company now, why would it be going anywhere? Since TAC is a support expense they will get rid of them to force Customers to use DNAC and the SNTC for their own troubleshooting...WHILE continuing to increase support costs...the perfect crime.

sure - Cisco DNA. that's if you can keep it running, and can easily upgrade. Concept is great, but execution is flawed.
Again, cisco ELT is drinking DNA kool-aid.

Customers are already saying TAC support is terrible now. Can't imagine how bad it will get with more layoffs? The DNA comment is funny - you're probably going to need even more support when that software blows up :)

Heard the same thing too. TAC will be hit very hard this time. However if the rumored “Workforce Transition Option” already mentioned on this board is anything to go by, then it remains to be seen how that will play out with the anticipated massive layoff @ TAC

With Cisco DNA, the networks run themselves.

Does Mexico TAC support the technology ?If so I would be inclined to think that is your answer. If we ever get moved away.
