Good news for Randy Boy!! He keeps his $235K/Mo pay. He also was bonused 32M at the end of fiscal ‘19, while all the id–ts exposed on the front lines eventually get told to eff off. Corporate ‘Merica. Good thing we got cookies on Wednesday thanking us for all our hard work. It made the sh*t sandwich that much sweeter.

former cor asm here, was in the first round of closures in june/july - all cor RSCs were offered a wfh position guaranteed if they chose or can take severance based on net credited service. There is a nearby store however ARSM didn't want to move anyone to that store so they were denied positions - as for me, i made the biggest mistake of my career and didn't take the severance. I was conned into taking an IHX position by my former ARSM and it was quite literally the worst job I have ever had. Insane goals and the expectation to visit customers' homes during a global pandemic, not to mention the same song and dance in terms of ethics - lots of fraudulent behavior while managers look the other way. I finally left the company in august and am happily employed elsewhere.

Just a couple things to add from my previous post. We were told that everybody that is a union employee is still guaranteed a job. (We are orange contract). However, managers are not nearly as lucky. They can apply for other positions with AT&T or start looking for new jobs. Part time employees probably are going to end up working from home, but from what I understand they will be full-time positions. It just depends on how many positions open up in the store if any. If I earn anything else, I’ll post it

Had our call two days ago. We are in Ohio. We have seven or so stores in our area closing. If a position is open at another store, we will be given that option and if we do not take that option, we were told we will not get the option for work from home and we will probably have to take the severance pay. Severance pay is based on how long you’ve been with the company but I don’t have details on how much it is. Basically if a store opening is available, take it. We were also told that they’ve been holding off on hiring at other stores because they knew this was coming and that there should be some extra headcount available at the neighboring stores for at least some employees. If there are no openings in the stores available, your only option will be to work from home, otherwise you’ll have to take the severance.

The plan has been public since December 2019, it just accelerated in June when Randall stepped down to let John jumó in and used COVID-19 as a way to move the records up a year or so. Then not closing stores, but moving the Corproate stores to Autborized, since it’s not an expense to the company to operate a store anymore, but becomes a profit to receive a payment to allow the location to use the name and take over an established customer base with an AR partner.

They are going authorized dealer. Authorize dealers pay their employees 12 an hr. It’s cheaper and effective way for them.

att closing stores while t-mobile has opened stores by my neighborhood. lol. att should just sell off and call it a day and give the assets to a company that wants to serve its customers instead of just feeding off the dividend.

Can also confirm. Was on call yesterday no official announcement will be made until impacted RSC are notified first thing this morning. 500 stores nationwide. Most will close in November/December. I’m in a black contract area they said the RSCs here will be guaranteed WFH call center jobs for 1 year if they can’t find them stores within 35 miles to transfer to.

To all complaining post the proof, there’s no hard evidence because it was just a call and they’re wanting to keep it on the low until impacted reps are told. Just wait another 3 hours or so and you’ll start seeing a lot more, promise.

Never go in the smaller strip mall stores in my area but see very few cars parked in front of them. (Even before Covid). Have a large AT&T store fairly close by and they seem to stay fairly busy. Had a 15 to 20 minute wait the last time I went there.
