So Farley has been working for Ford for over a decade. If he has all the answers, why have they not yet been implemented?

So many Director+ people hired from outside Ford. left Ford in no time. I think after joining they realized what a facade we put up for outsiders

@itm+17dJFUnl I think the domestic big2.5 is in a death spiral of dillusion. Ford is no longer the employer of choice; I do not steer people towards working there, there are better options elsewhere. Big Data, well news flash, if we design our products to have zero safety factor to customer usage our warranty spend is going up, guaranteed. When we rely on thousands of suppliers to build a vehicle we do not have the control we need to design at low safety margins.
As for Tim Stone, Ford got what they deserved. They could of promoted from within and saved money, I don't think you need to be a genius to be CFO, more of a figure head for regulatory purpose.

The plan is to improve warranty spend by cutting heads in PD. Fewer people to catch and fix issues, what could go wrong?
If it fails your 'common sense logic test' my friend, may I suggest it is due to some rather complicated and fiercly competitive POLITICS. ;)
