Now that this bomb has been dropped on us, what are the chances they'll give us the details soon? It wouldn't be fair of them to announce something like this and then let us all stew for who knows how long. That wouldn't be good for us or the bank, since I highly doubt that kind of stressing is good for productivity...

Chicago market had a 4 pm call saying if you were invited to this you are safe but I’m sure more to come they didn’t announce which branches are being close d
Branches that are temporarily closed will be notified next week, they may not get any warnings, elimination of positions effective immediately.
Have all the branches effected been notified ?
Lots of shake up in Global TM.
People at corporate are also being cut. This isn't just branch locations.

People will need to post on social media or contact the media directly before they find out about this. I doubt the bank is planning to announce it
While I sure love having 2 months notice, it’s going to be hard to let this stew in my stomach. Glad to know that “other opportunities” will be sent via email within the coming weeks. I feel naive I didn’t see this coming. Hoping for some good to come out of this & empathizing with my peers who are also being let go

It is hard to keep working, and give 100%, not knowing when the axe may fall, throwing our lives into chaos. There is a reason some people advocate for UBI, as it can provide a safety net that can soften the hits from layoffs. It additionally s—s that our health insurance is tied to our employers and employment status. I for one would like to see UBI and also universal healthcare that isn't tied to my employer.

It's really sad to hear about everyone that is being let go! Very sorry to hear that. Do any of you know if the lay off notices are given already and done? Or we still expect to hear the news in the upcoming days? This uncertainty and the panic is not at all helpful and hard to concentrate on work knowing that you could get laid off.
Everyone in our Las Vegas market that was being let go was invited to a last minute invite only conference call where we were told if we were on the call, our branches were being closed and our last day would be January 11th. Super last minute, very informal and honestly very cold, thanks for nothing!

Calls are being scheduled for the final hour of the day with invites going out soon. Those impacted will know by end of day
