Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Visiting from the Wells Fargo thread on this site.

Just wanted to see if other banks are going through the same thing as Wells. The similarities in thread topics and comments from employees are strikingly similar.

yeah, where is the press telling our side of the story. We are dehumanized and seen as statistics in the monthly unemployment numbers. Those numbers count who is collecting unemployment, but what happens when your can't collect anymore? You are no longer counted and no one tells our story when we can't find a job that was offshored or AI'd. No one in Congress, the Senate or the Administration has had the guts to tell the big financial institutions that they need to provide retraining or monies, in addition to severance, for learning new skills for those new jobs being created.

WF is one of our our counter firms. I know some people there behind the scene as a way to network since I am planning to look for another job after jp, but she tells me they are just as sh**y, that’s why I am still stuck here for now lol
