Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

I envy those who were already notified

The stress of the past two days is really some of the worst I've felt my entire adult life. If I was laid off, at least I'd know what my next steps would be. Like this, I feel stuck in the limbo. I know it'll all probably be done by the end of the day, but still...

My role was eliminated Monday (yesterday) and I am in TOS (IT).

I hope the lady at the top of this string got her answer one way or the other.

My advice, Be Prepared. Send ecards to people while you still can. Make a list of email addresses now. It's too late for me. 22 Years for TOS. 10+ on the Dev Net Board. So many people. I took my ability to look them up for granted. Farewell friends. It was good to know you.

One door closes but another one opens. I pray for everyone these days.

It’s so horrible how they do it. After 23 years I have a ton of business knowledge but I guess when they do it over the phone they don’t have to look you in the eye when they claim your job has been eliminated. I guess they can’t come up with anything better when you have always had good reviews. Then they wonder why those left have bad attitudes.

no concrete info on bank teller yet. but if you're a bank teller making 15-17 an hour you're wasting your life. don't be a sitting duck and wait for your turn to be eliminated. Teller is a dead end job.....start somewhere else make the same kind of money with potential of more growth. even costco pays $15 plus and hour.....

for all the c-ap the teller gets from customers.....not worth it. take my advice and get out before they kick you out.

All people have not already been notified! They have been laying off for 3 days solid and it seems as though it's going to continue. They wait until 30 minutes of your shift left on your last day of your work week and send you conference call invite and give you the boot. They then try to make it better by saying maybe will have positions open up in the future that you can apply for. They are so heartless and cold about it.

You seem like a major pûssy op. Just consider yourself laid off and get over it.

Rumor has it that much more is coming next week. Branch closures are done for now but with another round likely in 90 days. Up to 40% of wealth may be gone by end of week with the community bank merged into metro.

There is far more coming. The branch closures are only the beginning. Far more substantial cuts and realignment is coming next week. Many more to be impacted.
