Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What F&L roles are considered redundant and being removed?

Anyone have guesses?

Projects organizations, equipment strategy engineers, contact engineers, analysts, any layers of management?

At BRRF they are reducing contact engineer count. Many business teams that currently have 2 will go down to 1.

Nope the MALs are staying they are just called Reliability Leads! Way to go XOM..... more fat at the top and the bottom is so lean.... can’t wait to watch the show as all those folks who think they know everything fall flat on their faces.... keep on s—ing up and being a yes person... you will go far if the Corp doesn’t collapse...

Who told you about this? MALs and Improve role combine will get rid of lots of headcounts.

MALs are paper pushers?? Must be from a big B. Remember - there are two models to GRS1. At small sites, the only mechanical representation in the business team is the MAL and they act as a pseudo-SLS over work prioritization in mechanical. Truly believe they are beneficial to small sites. A big sites, there are MALs and MSLSs and goodness knows what else following the larger GRS1 model. Likely a lot of redundancy there. But regardless, that is big news to small sites if they are truly k–ling the MAL role.

MALs are paper pusher. They are getting rid of the improve engineer role as well. If your supervisor is not moving you to another role by end of next month then you are most likely of the lay off target
