My contract provides that if someone is laid off or reduced to part time due to contracting, they can recover all the wages. It included anyone in the area with recall rights.
Oddly enough, union jobs in the West are not being affected even though there isn’t the work to support the jobs! Did T make some kind of deal with the union...very curious situation!
The same could be said for all of the internal systems in the company, They love these photo-op announcements when they sign over huge contracts to companies like Accenture, Tech Mahindra, IBM, and Amdocs. But those firms by definition do not hire the best people. They are low-cost body shops that promise everything and deliver nothing.
17hhMWl8 - Company layoffs drive the narrative, not an individual post.
Nobody here makes the decisions, the company does.
Wanna change the narrative?
Stop the layoffs.
What the article does not talk about is the 40,000 or so management employees that were surplused in the same time frame. Since the union does not track those, the real number of job cuts are at least 80,000 in the last 3 years. How else could you buy several companies of 100,000 employees each, and still only show 230,000 on payroll? And contractors, whether state-side or overseas, do not need to be reported, neither does re-badging..
All that to show a forced 'profit' to the investors at the end of the year.
Don't worry about the body count.. just 'collateral damage'.
The company is being hollowed out.
Prepping for acquisition, merger, or bankruptcy.
Good thing is, investors have seen through that a long time ago, thus the stock price..
how about management being forced to train their replacements. its all about he unions.
I hear CNN also hates T but many more to come
Do you mean like: DTV, Warner, Max, Mississippi, DSL, Michael Cohen, DC, even Superman for gods sakes hates T...
Weird thing is they are from sooooo many people, places and things that work with a similar company.
Just another day in the tech media, putting a Union report on repeat or otherwise finding disgruntled people to further your narrative
