WFH not an option for management

Non bargained employees in retail will not have WFH privileges with the recent store closures. Mixed emotions on this.

People hate on the union, even myself, but that guarenteed job clause in the last contract was a life saver for some.

@igyf- my reps took the WFH position, they got to keep their current pay. You will get moved to the CSR pay level if it’s higher but not likely. You probably make more currently. Apparently there’s a couple levels, I think Black or Purple contracts get a higher pay. Sorry for confusing ya- example: one of my reps had 15 years in, he’s maxed out on hourly, the top tier pay at the WFH CSR position wasn’t higher than his so he kept his pay. As far as commission, what they did was add $190 or so a week to their base to make up for lost comp. That’s only guaranteed for one year. Not sure if things changed but when our store closed, my reps had 24 hours to take or decline the CSR offer or they’d just get laid off with severance in 14 days. If they wanted to go to another store they could have, seniority order etc. Hope that answers your question. Short answer: making about $24-25 an hour. Also some get the option of doing 4 ten hour days instead of 5 days a week.

My location is closing, and I was told I would only have the WFH option if my ARSM could not place me in another location? Is this correct? Or do I have the WFH option regardless? How much does a WFH CSR make?

If the market cares, or pretends to, then ASMs are getting overfilled into large stores. They're pretty safe so long as there's a large store nearby. Some flagships will be running 4 ASMs temporarily. RSMs got shafted without the courtesy of a reach around.

Hey @1baj: why do you call it a WFH privilege? They’re union, they get a contract just like you if you’re union. Are you one of those people who think they’re so superior to other departments? People in retail have bills and families too.

@1baj- the retail sales reps are union, it’s in their contract that if their store closes they’re guaranteed another job. My store closed in July, my former reps all got offered WFH cust care jobs. They’re Orange contract, I believe black and purple have the same provision. The job is guaranteed at least for 1 year.

Don't go in to management.
A foolish move.
But do enjoy your title.
